Nipro Medical Corp. to build $398M North Carolina plant
Medical device maker Nipro Medical Corp. is building a $397.8 million facility in Greenville, North Carolina, Gov. Roy Cooper stated in a July 17 press release. The 550,000-square-foot plant will create 232 jobs and produce dialyzers and precision needles for the healthcare industry that support people with diabetes, chronic kidney disease and other renal health issues, according to Nipro.

Rotary Cottage Reopens at Lake Waccamaw
One of the oldest cottages at the Boys and Girls Home has been renovated and reopened to help meet the expanding need for foster care. On July 15, Rotary Cottage re-opened on the campus of Boys and Girls Homes after being closed for renovations. The N.C. Arrests Made In Dollar General Robbery
JOHNSTON COUNTY – Detectives with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office have arrested two suspects in the armed robbery of Dollar General, at 10525 Cleveland Road, Garner. James Marcus Almond, age 50, of Gardner Road, Four Oaks and a 16 year-old juvenile are charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery, and two counts of second degree kidnapping.
Report of missing child in Aberdeen deemed “unfounded”
A report of a missing child had first responders searching on the ground, and in the air, in the 300 block of North Sycamore Street on Tuesday morning. Members from the Aberdeen Police Department, Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County Sheriff’s Office, and Moore County Public Safety were on scene near the bridge over the creek close to Elm Street.
