Josiah-Jordan James signs with Indiana
Former Tennessee men’s basketball player Josiah-Jordan James signed a contract with Indiana. James signed an Exhibit 10 contract and will play for Indiana in the NBA Summer League. An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year minimum salary contract and invitation to the Pacers’ practice and a try-out. Indiana will control James’ contractual rights. The team has the right to turn the deal into a G-League contract or a two-way contract. James averaged 8.4 assists and 6.4 rebounds per game during his final year with the Vols. He totaled nine points and nine rebounds in Tennessee’s win against Texas in the NCAA Tournament second-round. Willow Place, affordable living for seniors, adds 30 apartments amid housing crunch
Willow Place, an affordable housing complex for seniors in Karns, will add 30 new units by the end of 2025. The extension, called Willow III, includes 30 affordable apartments for those aged 62 and up earning at or below 80% of the area's median income, which was around $70,000 in 2022. The addition brings Willow Places' capacity to 70 units at a time when housing and rental prices are stubbornly high.

The percentage of Tennessee students scoring proficiently in English Language Arts rose from 38% in 2023 to 39% in 2024, while the percentage of science students scoring proficiently rose from 43% in 2023 to 44% in 2024.
