Wilmington Man Arrested on Multiple Charges Following Traffic Stop in Dewey Beach
DEWEY BEACH, DE - A Wilmington man was arrested on multiple charges following a traffic stop in Sussex County. On Friday, July 19th, at approximately 11:30pm, Dewey Beach Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop on a blue 2020 Hyundai Sonata with a New York registration. State Police Investigate Late-Night Shooting on New Castle Avenue
The Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred late Saturday night on New Castle Avenue in New Castle, Delaware. On July 20, 2024, at approximately 10:53 p.m., troopers responded to a report of a shooting in the 3100 block of New Castle Avenue. Preliminary investigations revealed that an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old male, both from Wilmington, Delaware, were riding their bicycles northbound on New Castle Avenue. Delaware State Police are looking for a pair of suspects after a robbery attempt led to a car crash in Townsend over the weekend. The victims, a 19-year-old Middletown man and 18-year-old Newark woman, made arrangements with somebody they'd met on social media to meet the person in Townsend to sell them vape pens, police said.
