Historically black church with deep ties to city and LU to celebrate 174th anniversary
A historically Black church in Jefferson City, with deep ties to Lincoln University, is celebrating a huge milestone this weekend. Quinn Chapel AME Church is celebrating its 174th anniversary on Sunday, July 21. Senior Pastor, the Reverend Stephanie Allen, says it’s rare for anything to last 174 years, and she plans to address that during the 11:00 a.m. service.
Tractor pull at fairgrounds in Trenton set for July 27
A tractor pull is set to take place at the North Central Missouri Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 27th at 7 pm. The fairgrounds are located at 1415 Oklahoma Ave. The event will feature a beer garden, with food concessions provided by the Lions Club. General admission for the event is priced at $15 per adult and $5 per child aged 6-10 years old. Children 5 years old and under will be admitted free of charge.
