HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — A woman has been charged with attempted homicide after a Thursday night stabbing in Harrisburg that injured two people and left one of them seriously injured, police say.

Charlene Walker, 43, of Harrisburg, is accused of stabbing her boyfriend in the face with a kitchen knife after the two got into a fight at a home along the 1900 block of Briggs Street just before midnight, Harrisburg Police said in the charges filed in Magisterial District Judge Matthew Pianka’s office.

The man was stabbed in the face, had a swollen eye, and lost a “significant amount of blood,” the charges show. His injuries were classified as life-threatening, police said, and he was rushed to the hospital.

Another person said they were slashed by Walker when trying to break up the fight. Police said the person had a laceration to his forearm that required medical treatment and that the injury was “consistent” with an injury that would have been “sustained for a sharp cutting instrument.”

According to the charges, Walker’s clothes were covered in blood and before police arrived at the scene, she was showering to wash the blood off.

Walker faces felony charges of attempted homicide and aggravated assault along with misdemeanor charges of tamper with/fabricate physical evidence.
