ISP: 2 dead, 1 injured after possible murder-suicide in Harrison County
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Indiana State Police are investigating after a deadly shooting in rural Harrison County left two people dead and another person injured Friday. Police said Harrison County officers along with state troopers were called to a home in the 3000 block of Mosquito Creek Road near Laconia.
Two Dead, One Wounded In Harrison County, Indiana Shooting
LACONIA, In. (06/21/24) – Indiana State Police are investigating a shooting in Harrison County, Indiana Friday night that left two people dead and a third injured. Law enforcement responding to the Laconia community on a report of shots fired found a woman with a wound to the arm. They later found the bodies of 84-year-old Donald Ray Weaver and 82-year-old Virginia Schofield outside a back door of the home. Investigators believe Weaver shot the injured woman, 56-year-old Marion Young, who is Schofield’s daughter, following an argument. While Young went to a neighbor’s home to call for help, it’s suspected Weaver shot Schofield, then turned the gun on himself. Young was taken to U-of-L Hospital for a non life-threatening injury.
