WCMP Diabetes Services to offer foot care clinics
BELFAST — Waldo County General Hospital will begin offering diabetic foot care clinics for patients beginning early this fall. The day-long clinics, which will run by appointment only out of the hospital’s diabetes care offices at 119 Northport Ave., in Belfast, will provide foot care including nail trimming, callous removal and wound identification. The practice plans to offer clinics once or twice a month, depending on patient volume.

New Glen Mary design floated at Council meeting
BAR HARBOR — Plans for the new Glen Mary pool were unveiled at Tuesday’s Town Council meeting, but the overall cost, estimated to be north of $1 million, is yet unknown. The city council unanimously confirmed D’Auteuil’s appointment July 15. “Denis’ depth of knowledge, connection to our team, dedication to public service, and long history of involvement with the cities of Auburn and Lewiston make him exactly the right fit for this position,” City Manager Phil Crowell said in a news release. “He has a powerful connection to his community - he’s a coach, a volunteer, a dad, brother and son, and he’s a friend to so many here.”
