Shawnee Township Fire Department quickly contains nitric acid spill
SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP, OH (WLIO) - Shawnee Township Fire Department acted quickly to clean up a nitric acid spill leaking from a truck earlier on Friday. Just before 10:30 a.m., firefighters were called out to Buckeye and Fort Amanda roads for two pools of acid spilled when the truck started and stopped on the road. The truck driver was able to shut off the leak on Buckeye Road.

SIDNEY — Volunteers once again climbed into boats and started hunting for trash as they took part in the annual Clean Sweep of the Great Miami River on Friday morning. “The main goal is to remove trash from the river. Tires are a big thing.
