These online news services are available for free to our readers thanks to the generous support of advertisers. However, advertising sales are difficult. Over the past several years, the marketing business has become much more competitive with businesses also reducing their marketing budgets. We do continue to have many advertisers who do understand the value of supporting local businesses and supporting local news and I am very grateful to them.
