Looks like Connecticut just can’t resist chicken for dinner. Maybe lunch too.

Raising Cane’s, famous for its chicken fingers, will open its second store Sept. 10 in Simsbury at 546 Bushy Hill Road.

In preparation for its grand opening, Cane’s is beginning to recruit crew members in the area for positions including cashier, cook and customer service associates.

The restaurant with a double drive-thru will open in Simsbury Commons Shopping Center.

They will also have a spacious outdoor patio. They are also planning a restaurant in Wethersfield.

Interested applicants can visit the new restaurant now through Sept. 3, with daily sessions held (excluding Sundays) from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 6 p.m. or apply online at https://jobs.raisingcanes.com/ .

“We are absolutely thrilled to open our second location in Connecticut after the overwhelming support in Enfield,” said Julia Dyer, the company’s area leader of restaurants.

“We have more restaurants coming in the future and can’t wait to bring our craveable Chicken Finger meals to more communities in this beautiful state.”

A statement from the company says Raising Cane’s is one of the fastest-growing restaurant brands, with 800 plus restaurants in 40 plus states, and plans to open 100 new Restaurants across several new markets in 2024.

The Louisiana-based Raising Cane’s is known for its Southern fried chicken.
