Community honors teens involved in crash
MILTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A community came together Saturday evening to honor Braxton McComas, the teenager who was killed in a car crash in Barboursville on Independence Day. Braxton’s friend, Logan, was with him when the collision happened. Logan was seriously injured and remains in the hospital more than a week after the crash.
Ohio murder suspect arrested on Indiana Toll Road
LAPORTE COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - A 22-year-old man who was wanted in connection with the deadly shooting of a 17-year-old boy in Ohio has been arrested in LaPorte County. Indiana State Police learned on Saturday morning that the suspect, an unidentified 22-year-old man from Painesville, Ohio, may be traveling along the Indiana Toll Road.

Rivers Nearing Mid-July Low Flow Levels Amidst Drought
WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): The heat and dry weather are working in tandem to dry out the soil and the area rivers and streams. The river and stream levels are declining and an analog year to this summer is 1964. Rainfall was very scarce and temperatures actually cooler than average during that summer. What we are seeing this summer is that a bit more rain than the summer of 1964 was offset by much above average temperatures. The heat dries the soil readily, so it offsets the even drier summer we had in 1964.

WVDHF announce investment plans, sale of senior health facilities
WEST VIRGINIA (WCHS) — The West Virginia Department of Health Facilities announced plans to potentially sell four long-term senior care facilities, officials say. WVDHF has partnered with healthcare merger and acquisition advisors, Lument Securities, LLC, with the goal of improving the quality of care through the sale and license transfer of the facilities without interruption of care, according to a release from the department.
