Youngstown couple accused of baseball bat attack on Chaney Circle
Police say they don’t know why three people were beaten with baseball bats on Youngstown’s Westside, while the children of the one of alleged assailants looked on. Investigating reports of a large fight on Chaney Circle Monday evening, officers arrested 35-year-old William Profanchik and 34-year-old Patricia Foster on assault charges.

LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Lima Mayor Sharetta Smith joined other mayors in the state in asking Governor Mike DeWine to address the epidemic of gun violence. The Ohio Mayors Alliance has sent a letter to the governor making recommendations on how to reduce gun crime and better protect children from accessing and using firearms. Harvesting timber is a forest management practice that requires technical expertise to do it right. Foresters can obtain professional certification through the Society of American Foresters and/or the Association of Consulting Foresters and loggers can be certified through the Ohio Forestry Association’s (OFA) Master Logger program. Certification is voluntary in the State of Ohio, so the best way to ensure a forestry or logging professional is properly trained is to only work with certified professionals. The OFA recognizes the exemplary work of Ohio Master Loggers each year through their Logger of the Year Award.
