'Epitomized the community spirit': Mehen Memorial Skate Park project receives $10K donation from Brundage Mountain
BOISE, Idaho — A skate park project that memorializes the memory of two New Meadows residents has received a large donation, minimizing the gap to its $600,000 goal. Brundage Mountain officials on Tuesday said General Manager Ken Rider donated a check for $10,000 to the Mehen Memorial Skatepark during the mountain's July 19 summer concert series. The community project honors the owners of the Hartland Inn in New Meadows, Rory and Sara Mehen, who were killed in October 2022.
Caldwell School District cuts SROs from budget. What's next for the schools, officers
CALDWELL — Among major changes coming in the 2024-2025 academic year, the Caldwell School District will be cutting school resources officers from its budget. This is another decision made due to the failed renewal of a $4.1 million supplemental levy in the May 21 primary election.
