Chase Randall, TKS Motorsports Part Ways After Knoxville Nationals
Chase Randall announced Tuesday that he has parted ways with the No. 2KS TKS Motorsports Sprint Car team, effective immediately. "As of today, Chase Randall will no longer be piloting the 2KS car for Troy and Tammy Renfro," Chase Randall Racing announced in a Facebook post. Adventureland Resort adds more fun-filled days with expanded Summer Season
ALTOONA, Iowa — Adventureland Resort continues its 50th celebration by offering a gift to its guests. The Home of Iowa’s Best Thrills is extending its summer season by adding three days to its calendar along with more hours each day this week. Adventureland will extend its daily operations through August 21, providing even more time to ride theme park favorites like the reimagined Underground, Monster, Flying Viking and more.

Skywalk Health Holdings LLC, based in San Juan Capistrano, Calif., paid TZVI Realty LLC $5.7 million for property at 5608 S.W. Ninth St. in Des Moines, Polk County real estate records show. The property includes a one-story, 25,412-square-foot building constructed in 1962. Genesis Senior Living Center, with 80 units, is located in the facility. The property is valued at $2.4 million. The transaction was recorded Aug. 6.
Hawk golfers return 4 varsity regulars from team that placed 10th in Class 4A
Despite losing its top two players to graduation, the Ankeny boys’ golf team still boasts plenty of talent. The Hawks return four varsity regulars from a team that placed 10th in last year’s Class 4A state meet with a 634 total. They are seniors Duncan Beelner, Kyler Crimmins, Evan Hodapp and Caden Weddingfeld.

Victim drowns in Iowa City golf course pond
IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - A person drowned in a pond at an Iowa City golf course after being trapped under some maintenance equipment on Wednesday afternoon. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office said it happened at Pleasant Valley Golf Course, located at 4390 Sand Road SE, at around 1:39 p.m.
