OUI leads to prison sentence on reentry in Massachusetts to Guatemalan man who illegally reentered for 4th time
BOSTON – A Guatemalan man was sentenced yesterday in federal court in Boston for unlawfully reentering the United States after deportation. According to the Massachusetts Department of Justice, 34-year-old Genaro Romero-Romos was sentenced by U.S. Senior District Judge William G. Young to seven months in prison and one year of supervised release. He will be subject to deportation proceedings upon completion of his sentence. In April 2024, Romero-Romos pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful reentry.
