East Texas Heatwave: Heat Indices Up to 113 Degrees
East Texas – An intense heatwave continues to grip East Texas, with dangerous heat levels expected to persist through Thursday. The National Weather Service in Shreveport, Louisiana, has issued a Heat Advisory for southeast Oklahoma and parts of East Texas, effective until 8 PM CDT Thursday. Heat indices are forecast to reach between 105 and 109 degrees. Additionally, an Excessive Heat Warning is in effect for other areas, predicting heat indices up to 113 degrees.
