College catch-up: Liz Uhl racked up over 900 points with UIS women’s basketball
Resume: Liz Uhl played in at least 20 games in all four seasons with the University of Illinois Springfield women’s basketball team. Uhl ended with 932 career points. In her senior season with UIS, Uhl averaged 13.4 points per game to go along with 4.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists. She shot 36.1% from 3 and 87.9% from the free-throw line her senior season.

According to a new release, Galesburg Police responded to a report of a shooting in the first block of South Cherry Street around 11:48 p.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, a victim of a gunshot wound was located in the street.

Gas Leak Detected in Galesburg
A gas leak has been detected near the intersection of Sumner Street and Matthews Street in Galesburg. Buildings within a one-block radius will be evacuated out of an abundance of caution, and barricades will be put up to keep traffic out of the area.
