GREENVILLE, N.C. – Campbell women's soccer (1-1-2) played East Carolina (2-0-1) to a 0-0 draw at Johnson Stadium Sunday night. The first 25 minutes passed without much incident. ECU recorded the first three shots of the game, but only put one on frame that was an easy save for Sierra Vance.
New-look ECU RB room has some familiar faces at the top
Less than a year ago, offensive coordinator John David Baker was hired to the East Carolina staff to revamp an offense that struggled mightily in last year's 2-10 season. On his way in, he contacted an old friend in Utah State's running backs coach Rodney Freeman II. Rodney had previously worked with Baker roughly 10 years ago at Abilene Christian.
Ranking ECU football's transfer additions in order of expected impact on the 2024 season
There's no shortage of notable transfers expected to make an impact this season for the Pirates. East Carolina, just like the majority of every team in college football these days, saw its roster significantly change over the course of the offseason. Much of that movement came via the transfer portal, where players entered and exited. Upwards of 20 players entered the program at some point this offseason via the portal, while nearly just as many exited.

Annual fishing tournament honors former Johnnie Mercers Fishing Pier employee
WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, N.C. (WECT) - When Marc Morrison arrived at Johnnie Mercers Fishing Pier Saturday, he only had one rod with him. He soon made sure to buy another one. The pier was hosting the 5th annual Donnie Wood’s Flounder Fishing Tournament, and with $10 entry fees per rod, Morrison, a friend of Wood’s, wanted to ensure he was helping support a good cause. Half of the proceeds from the event went to the Celebrate Recovery Outreach Association, which helps people struggling with substance abuse and other problems.

Armed man leads Edgecombe County deputies on foot chase through woods, sheriff’s office says
ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WNCN) – A man is now in custody after leading deputies on a foot chase through the woods in Edgecombe County on Saturday, deputies said.
