BELLEVUE’S Bently Ernst, son of Chris and Katie Ernst, who was recently named the State Winner of the annual patriot essay contest, “What the Flag Means to Me,” sponsored by Bellevue American Legion Post #273, was recently honored at the State Summer American Legion Summer Meeting in Des Moines. Ernst was not only the winner of the 5th Grade Essay Contest locally, but across the entire state of Iowa, and was selected as tops out of more than 400 entries. Salaried Layoffs At John Deere Now Total Nearly 500
