    18-year-old dead after drowning in Massachusetts pond

    HAVERHILL, Mass. (WWLP) – An 18-year-old has died after an apparent drowning in the eastern part of the state.

    Police investigating deadly crash on I-495 in Bridgewater

    Police say it happened at a pond in Haverhill on Sunday around 1:30 p.m. Officers were called to Plug Pond for a report that a man was swimming when he went under the water and didn’t come back up.

    They say emergency crews found him underwater about 30 feet from the shoreline around 3:00 p.m.

    The identity of the 18-year-old has not been released at this time.
