Rapid City’s legion teams finish regular season Saturday
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Post 22 finished off the weekend with a sweep against Post 15 West of Sioux Falls, whereas Post 320 fell in straight games to Post 15 East. Saturday was the final day of the regular season for both Rapid City teams. The Hardhats and Stars look ahead to regionals which are happening this next week.

Dell Rapids Picnic in the Park highlights bike safety
DELL RAPIDS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Community members enjoyed hot dogs and camaraderie in Dell Rapids on Saturday while also learning about bike safety. The fourth annual Dell Rapids Picnic in the Park offered a time for first responders to interact with the community and educate children and parents on the best bike safety practices.
Cold Air Funnel Spotted Over Norfolk Saturday Afternoon
As heavy rains poured down over Norfolk late this afternoon, a cold air funnel cloud was spotted by the public over Norfolk just after 5pm. Regional Emergency Manager Bobbi Risor says the National Weather Service was aware of the cloud. While any funnel cloud is a concern, the weather service did not deem it a threat to public safety, and no warnings were issued.

Rock Valley schools set plan for new school year
ROCK VALLEY, Iowa (Sioux County Radio) - The school year will begin a couple of weeks late in Rock Valley this fall as the community recovers from flooding. According to Sioux County Radio, classrooms aren’t expected to be ready on time. Students in kindergarten, first grade, and second grade will start classes at Trinity Christian Reformed Church. Third, fourth, and fifth graders will start in cleaned and sanitized, but unfinished, classrooms.
