Anniversary of fallen Fargo PD Officer Jake Wallin
FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo Police Department posted a story on their Facebook page today to honor fallen hero, Fargo Police Officer Jake Wallin, who was 23 years old. One year ago today, police were responding to a minor traffic accident in the area of 9th Avenue South and 25th Street South, when a gunman opened fire, ambushing the officers on scene. After firing one shot towards the assailant, Officer Wallin was struck by gunfire and was killed in the line of duty protecting his community. Officer Wallin was sworn into the department on April 19, 2023, and he was in field training at the time of his death.

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - 38-year-old Michael Annette who had been missing since July 2 was found dead. Annette’s family has been notified. Agencies involved in search included, White Earth Police Department, Becker County Sheriff’s Office, White Earth Emergency Management, White Earth Conservation, Carsonville Fire and Rescue, Vindictive K9, Missing Murder Indigenous relatives, and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
