    Here's the lineup for the July 4 parade in downtown Hawley

    Hawley Borough has released the lineup for the annual Fourth of July parade. The parade begins at noon Thursday and heads up Main Avenue from the corner with Church Street to Bingham Park.

    Jim Swanick Sr. and his wife Carol Swanick are the grand marshals this year. They have owned the Hawley Diner for many years.

    Division 1

    Hawley Borough Police, Pennsylvania State Police, Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, Pike County Sheriff’s Department, Honesdale Borough Police, Forest City Police, Lehigh Township Police, Waymart Police, Hawley American Legion and Auxiliary marching groups, Steve McCune and Army truck, Grand Marshals Jim and Carol Swanick, Wayne County commissioners, Hawley Mayor John Nichols, Hawley Borough Council, Palmyra (Wayne) supervisors, Wayne County prothonotary, District Attorney A. G. Howell, Robin Skibber, Knights of Columbus, Honesdale Borough officials, all other officials.

    Division 2

    Teeter’s Furniture, Kenny G’s Pilot Car Service, Glenn and Anna Fischetti Classic Cars, Dan McPhiel Classic Car, Lackawaxen River Conservancy, Boy Scouts of America, Cub Scouts #401, Girl Scouts, Wayne County Republican Committee, Sons of Norway, Ritz Company Playhouse, Hawley Public Library.

    Division 3

    Downtown Hawley Partnership, Bold Gold, Paint the Town: A Hawley Museum, Crazy Country Club, Bikers for Justice, Paupack Watering Hole, Tyson’s Lawn Care, Mike’s Auto Service & Towing, Watson Brothers, Gary’s Service & Towing, Palmer & Son Trucks, Moser Trucking, Koberlein Environmental Services.

    Division 4

    Davis R. Chant Realtors, Wayne Tomorrow, The Dime Bank, Honesdale National Bank, Hawley DPW, Palmyra Township (Wayne County), Women in the Wind – Silver Hawks Chapter, Pike County Area Agency on Aging.

    Division 5

    Local and regional fire departments: Hawley, Beach Lake, Blooming Grove, Central, Forest, Greeley, Greene-Dreher, Hamlin, Hemlock Farms, Honesdale, Lackawaxen, Lake Ariel, Lakeville, Ledgedale, Madisonville, Seelyville, Shohola, Tafton, Waymart, White Mills.

    Division 6

    Emergency medical service vehicles: Delaware Township Volunteer Ambulance, Hamlin Ambulance, Lackawaxen EMS, Pennsylvania Ambulance, Pike County EMA, Tafton Ambulance, White Mills Ambulance, Wayne County Emergency Management.

    "On behalf of Hawley Borough and Hawley Borough Police we would like to say thank you to all our veterans and their families," Hawley Police Chief Daniel Drake said.

    That evening, at dusk, fireworks take place from Wallenpaupack Area High School, hosted by the Chamber of the Northern Poconos.
