The Idabel Warriors had an impressive run last season, making it to the Class 2A Oklahoma Football State Semi-Finals, and Mackylan is hoping to help them get back there this year. Mackylan’s journey in football began when he was just five years old. “The moment I stepped on that field, I fell in love with the game and now football is the only thing I ever think about,” he shared.
Broken Bow Savages Football Preview – Presented by Evan Smalling State Farm
Broken Bow steps onto the field this season with a blend of seasoned upperclassmen and promising underclassmen. “We will have a good mix of experienced upperclassmen and underclassmen that are good football players that will get on the field for us,” said head coach Maverick Lang. The Savages will implement a no-huddle, multiple look offense that relies on various formations and pre-snap movements to create opportunities in space. Leading the offense is sophomore quarterback Greydon Howell (5-10, 170, So.), joined by standout running back Quinlan Bailey (6-3, 210, Sr.), who also shines on defense. The receiving corps includes Tyrin Tinagero (5-7, 165, Sr.), AJ Brannon (6-2, 200, Jr.), and Sky Baker (6-2, 175, Jr.). Kaplan Burris (6-3, 320, Sr.) anchors the offensive line at right guard. With five returning starters, the Savages’ offense aims to improve upon last year’s performance and bring dynamic play to the field.

GRANITE, Okla. (KSWO) - Two separate incidents in Granite have led to the arrest of four individuals who are now facing charges of trafficking. In the first incident, James Kenneth Ford III and Ajalein D’Undre Tyrik Monroe both face three counts of trafficking a controlled and dangerous substance as well as conspiracy. Ford faces an additional charge of driving without a driver’s license.
Most officers named in $2 million settlement still at Tulsa Police Department
Most Tulsa police officers named in a remarkable settlement for shooting a man to death in 2020 still work for the department. Eight officers confronted Jonathan Randell on Aug. 8, 2020 as he had a mental health episode outside of a Catholic Charities facility in north Tulsa. They first fired pepper balls at Randell while he harmed himself with a pocket knife. Then, they shot him when he threw the knife in their direction, even though most of them were behind police cars or riot shields.
