University of Texas swimmer Aaron Shackell placed eighth in the 400-meter freestyle final at the Paris Olympics, clocking in at 3:47.00, while Hubert Kos, also from Texas, helped Hungary secure an eighth-place position in the 4x100-meter freestyle relay final. Shackell recently transferred to Texas and Kos transferred earlier in the spring. Former Longhorn Caspar Corbeau qualified for the 100-meter breaststroke final.
