HAWTHORNE, Fla. (WCJB) - Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies continue to search for a man in Hawthorne wanted for assault. According to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO), deputies set up a perimeter around the Lochloosa Park area Saturday night. The search was continued in the morning and early afternoon on Sunday.
Florida gas prices jumped a dime last week before falling back
MIAMI - Gas prices in Florida 11 cents early last week reaching $3.55 per gallon, before falling back seven cents over the last few days. On Sunday, the state average was $3.40 per gallon. That's about 3 cents more than a week ago. "Gas prices could move even lower, after a big drop in oil prices last week," said AAA spokesman Mark Jenkins. Jenkins said recent fuel reports show China's crude oil imports are declining. GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Gainesville Police officers arrest a man after he was ran away from a fatal car crash. According to officers, they pulled the car over on Friday afternoon for a traffic violation. The car initially pulled over, but sped away westbound on NE 10th Ave while officers exited their vehicle and were walking towards the car.
