Borough of Hawthorne Credits: Borough of Hawthorne
The tax bills due August 1 have been delayed, yet again, as we await certification of the tax levy by the State of New Jersey and the tax rate by the County of Passaic. As soon as we have these numbers, the bills will be printed and mailed; the grace period will be extended until 20 days after mailing.
Last week the water bills were mailed out for Water Routes 11, 12, and 13 (your route number is the first two digits of your water account number). Beginning next week and continuing throughout the year, we will send out a Nixle alerting the public as to what water route has been mailed out and when, together with a list of streets that are on each water route, and we will let you know the due date.
The nets and the court striping for at the pickleball courts at the Hawthorne Memorial Pool and Recreation Complex have been completed, and the courts will be ready to be played on next week.
Congratulations to the Goffle Creamery on being voted Best Ice Cream in North Jersey by the Daily Voice of New Jersey!

Congratulations and best of luck to all of the players! We are proud of you.
