Spokane Faces Elevated Fire Risk Today: Cold Front to Drive Dangerous Winds
Spokane, WA – Residents in Spokane and surrounding areas should prepare for a significant fire risk as a strong cold front is set to move through the region on Tuesday. Despite recent rainfall, dry grass could ignite easily under the influence of high winds, raising the fire danger across eastern Washington.
Community meeting set for Monday at White Barn to discuss Bulldog and Nellie fires
Garden Valley, ID (CBS2) — Crews continue to make progress on the Bulldog and Nellie fires as cooler temperatures continue to help fire crews. Crews working on the Bulldog fire focused on containing the fire on the western side as well as protecting structures along the southwestern perimeter. Crews will be working on creating containment lines along the north and northeastern edges of the fire.

ADAMS COUNTY, Wash. — Deputies in Adams County arrested two Othello men after they allegedly stole a forklift. According to a press release from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were notified on August 19 about a stolen Genie Telehandler Forklift in the 1900 block of West Hatton Road. Three days later, on Aug. 22, the complainant reported seeing the stolen forklift near the intersection of State Route 24 and West Hampton Road.
