HAYS, Kan. (KSNW) — With the 65th pick in the MLB draft, the Texas Rangers select Dylan Dreiling.

Born in Hays, Dreiling has dominated on the baseball diamond since his days at Hays High School, where, as a senior, he was named player of the year by the Kansas State High Schools Activities Association.

He then played at the collegiate level for Tennessee, where he continued his success as an outfielder. Dreiling won many awards during his time at Tennessee, including 2024 All-SEC first-team honors.

Dreiling had several memorable moments during his last season with Tennessee, including a walk-off home run in the first game of the College World Series against Florida State and a game-winning 2-run home run against Texas A&M in the College World Series finals.

Now, with the Texas Rangers organization, Dreiling will take his talents to the professional level, where he could one day find himself playing amongst the defending World Series champions.
