SFD responds to grass fire at Centennial Road/Cloud Street in Salina
Multiple Salina Fire Department crews responded to a grass fire at approximately 5:15 p.m. Monday. The flames were quickly extinguished. The direct cause of the fire is unknown. Salina Fire Department Battalion Chief Kirk Stover reminds residents to properly dispose of cigarettes instead of throwing them next to the road.

MANHATTAN, Kansas – K-State women’s basketball head coach Jeff Mittie has promoted assistant coach Ebony Gilliam to associate head coach for the 2024-25 season. City of Lawrence mulls allowing alcohol to be consumed on the go downtown
Patrons could soon be allowed to drink alcoholic beverages as they roam certain areas of downtown Lawrence. KU Athletics Unveil Phase Two of Allen Fieldhouse Renovations
The University of Kansas announced that construction has begun for phase two of renovations for Allen Fieldhouse ahead of the its 70th season.
