KCPD: Teens were playing with a gun when one was shot
KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating teenagers playing with a gun that led to a shooting. Just before noon Monday, police were dispatched to a home in the 10600 block of College Avenue in Kansas to investigate a reported shooting in which the victim was a juvenile, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
Russell County Sheriff seizes animals in heat distress
On July 12th at about 10:15 a.m. the Russell County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 300 block of north Kansas Avenue in Luray for an animal welfare check. Arriving on scene, the sheriff’s Office became aware of several animals in an abandoned house that appeared to be in distress. The owners of the animals were identified, and contact was made.
