    Nurse Karyn Tiffany gets rural health award

    Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative has awarded its Rural Health Ambassador Award to Karyn Tiffany of Hayward. The award celebrates employees who go beyond the call of duty and make additional significant contributions to the communities.

    Tiffany is an infusion and oncology Registered Nurse supervisor at Tarmack Health-Hayward Medical Center. She was honored for her work with Tamarack Health’s Community Team. That group focuses on community outreach.

    She is also the medical lead for the American Birkebeiner finish line medical station.

    Other community events Tiffany is actively involved in include the Epic Bike Festival, the Musky Festival run-walk, Sawyer County National Night Out, the Chequamegon Mountain Bike Festival and Tamarack Health’s Kids Day.

    Tiffany also successfully led the Infusion/Oncology Team to earn Press Gannet’s Guardian of Excellence award two years in a row. The award recognizes leaders in patient experience nation-wide.

    She has also successfully led the Infusion/Oncology Team to earn Press Ganey’s Guardian of Excellence Award two years in a row. This award recognizes leaders in patient experience by recognizing the top 5% of organizations nationwide.

    Tamarack Health is extremely proud to have its staff recognized for the incredible work they do in and out of the organization. Their dedicated efforts have made a tangible impact on the lives of the people in this region.
