Tybee Island community hosts a fundraiser for local woman battling cancer
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A low country boil fundraiser is happening Sunday on Tybee Island for a local woman who is battling cancer. Courtney Maturi was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer earlier this year. Nearly every week Courtney is either undergoing chemotherapy or other tests. Since Maturi doesn’t have insurance, her treatments are hard for her to afford, especially while not being able to work.
