Column | Finally, it's Ole Miss game week. Less talking and more doing.
Over the course of this offseason, whenever I've thought about this week that we've just begun, I've always taken myself back in time to this past December. Yes, I was there a little over a month prior to listen to Lane Kiffin talk about what it takes to actually compete for a SEC championship and then a national championship by proxy. However, I didn't think much of it in the moment... until something was actually done about it a month later.
First Alert Forecast: Summer-like heat returns but showers are on the way
JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Today: A warm afternoon is in store as temperatures climb back into the upper 90s this afternoon. As humidity continues to build up, it will be feeling close to the triple digits. Rain is not expected this afternoon and into this evening, however clouds are expected to stick around for most of tonight. Lows will be slightly above average only dropping into the mid 70s overnight.
VHS Released Their Ninth Grade Football Schedule
Vicksburg High School has released its 2024 Freshman football schedule. The Gators’ season will begin on Tuesday when they hit the road to face Terry. VHS will have a total of three home games which will be against Rosa Scott, Germantown, and Ridgeland. They will travel to play Terry, Warren Central, and Clinton this year. All games will start at 6 p.m.
