    Citations issued during 4th of July in Luzerne County

    HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Luzerne County police reports they issued various citations while patrolling on July 4th.

    According to the Hazleton City Police Department, between 245 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. officers in Hazleton responded to various incidents during the 4th of July.

    Police say they were called to over 100 complaints and in response, officers issued the following citations;

    • Drug-related citations – 1
    • Suspicious person – 5
    • Suspicious activity – 2
    • Crashes – 2
    • Fights – 1
    • Disorderly conduct – 3
    • Warrant and Criminal arrests – 3
    • Traffic citations – 7

    Officers noted they responded to 83 noise complaints ranging from loud music to illegal fireworks.
