    Sonoma Co.: Crews Stop Forward Progress Of 'Flora Fire' East Of Healdsburg

    Crews battling a fire that broke out Wednesday afternoon in Sonoma County east of Healdsburg have stopped its forward progress at 50 acres, according to Cal Fire.

    Dubbed the Flora Fire, the blaze began at about 4:45 p.m. as a vegetation fire on both sides of the 12000 block of Chalk Hill Road.

    Chalk Hill Road is closed between Spurgeon Road and Flora Ranch Road.

    By 7:30 p.m., forward progress of the fire had been stopped at 50 acres with 35% containment, according to Cal Fire.

    There are no reported injuries and there is no reported damage to structures.
