Healdsburg Prune Packers (22-5 PEL, 37-6 overall)

The Packers closed out another wildly successful regular-season campaign Sunday and will head into the inaugural Pacific Empire League Championship Series as the No. 1 seed. Game 1 of the best-of-three series was set for Tuesday night at the No. 2 seed Lincoln Potters (15-12, 35-16).

The Packers are 4-1 against Lincoln this season but fell 4-3 in their PEL finale last Wednesday.

That was the only blemish on an otherwise solid week for the Packers. They won their final three games of the season over the weekend and will head into the postseason as winners of five of their last six.

On the week, Camden Hayslip (Alabama) led the team with seven hits, including three doubles, a home run and four RBIs. Luke Mistone (Murray State) and Tommy Farmer (Texas) each had a team-best seven RBIs — Mistone on two doubles and a home run and Farmer on two home runs and a double. Eamon Lance (Arizona State) had three home runs on the week, two of which came in their 12-0 win Friday.

Elliot Joslin (St. Mary’s) turned in the top pitching performance of the week, striking out 10 with one walk and two hits allowed in five shutout innings in their 12-3 win Saturday.

Among their wins, they defeated the first-place Walnut Creek Crawdads 7-5 on Thursday and beat the Menlo Park Legends 7-6 in walk-off fashion Friday.

At 30 wins, it’s the best season for the Stompers since joining the CCL three years ago.

The Stompers are the No. 3 seed in the Northern Division of the CCL playoffs and were set to face No. 2 seed San Luis Obispo Blues (21-13) on Tuesday night in the wild-card round. The winner will advance to face the No. 1 seed Walnut Creek Crawdads (23-14, 26-15) in the Divisional Championship on Wednesday night for a chance to play in the CCL Championship Series over the weekend.
