Hallowe'en in Greenfield Village 10/28-10/31 - Dearborn

What’s the most enchanting, nostalgic, and fantastical Halloween adventure around Michigan? It’s The Henry Ford’s Hallowe’en in Greenfield Village, Michigan's premiere outdoor October celebration. From harvest markets and fall themes to costumed storybook characters and ghostly performances, our 40-plus-year Hallowe’en tradition is one of a kind, showcased within the bewitching setting of Greenfield Village after hours. Guests can stroll through the village at their own pace, picking and choosing their own festive or frightful experiences. Back by popular demand, the Hallowe’en Express will return for its second year, taking riders along a ghoulish and surprising journey through Greenfield Village. Timed tickets for Hallowe’en Express will be available to purchase online. Greenfield Village is in the Henry Ford Complex at 20900 Oakwood Blvd in Dearborn.

YpsiGLOW Ypsilanti 10/29 - Ypsilanti

Downtown Ypsilanti will glow bright with hundreds of community and artist creations for a night of fun, dancing, DJs, interactive art activities, black-lit stations, street performances, glowing window displays, and so much more. You will also see local artists creating amazing works in the downtown storefronts. Several of these windows come to life during the event, along with over a dozen other multi-media projects, like video projections, giant luminaries, performance art, live painting, shadow puppets, chalk muralists, and laser shows. You can participate by creating a project or just come to enjoy the amazing happenings throughout this event. Everyone is Invited to downtown Ypsilanti on N. Washington Street this Friday night!

Wizards, Witches, and Owls 10/29 - Grand Rapids

Spooky season has arrived at the Blandford Nature Center! Come out for an evening of creatures, spells, potions, and more! This wickedly spooktacular night will include Halloween-inspired crafts, activities, lantern-lit trails, and wildlife encounters with Blandford's magical beasts. Pre-registration is required, and costumes are highly encouraged. The Blandford Nature Center is at 1715 Hillburn Avenue NW in Grand Rapids.

Flick-or-Treat at KAC 10/29 - Saint Joseph

Krasl Art Center and the Coastline Children’s Film Festival have combined forces once again for the return of Flick-or-Treat. Head to KAC in St. Joseph on October 29 to decorate your own pumpkin to display at KAC and then enjoy ten projected silent films with a live piano accompaniment from Dr. Larry Shanker on KAC’s grounds. Pull up a blanket, enjoy popcorn, coffee, or hot cocoa from Red Arrow Roasters, and experience ten classic films projected on Krasl Art Center’s building. CALLING ALL PUMPKIN ARTISTS! Be a part of the event and showcase YOUR carved or decorated pumpkin to a Community Pumpkin Walk on view all weekend. Simply come by KAC from 7–8 PM and decorate to your heart’s content! The display will be illuminated evenings through October 31. The Krasl Art Center is at 707 Lake Boulevard in Saint Joseph.

Family & Pet Halloween Costume Contest and Parade 10/30 - Saugatuck

Come out to the Family and Pet Halloween costume Contest and Parade this Saturday in Saugatuck. Judges will determine the winners and will distribute cash prizes at the end of the day. There will be 4 costume categories for both kids and pets: Cute, Funny, Scary, and Most creative. Stick around after the parade at Wick's Park for the awarding of prizes, a puppet show, sidewalk chalk art contest, and more! The Parade Line-up at Wicks Park at 11:30 am. At noon the parade starts on Water Street and continues to Butler Street, turning and going along Butler to Mary Street, where the parade turns left and travels back to Water Street and Wicks Park.

Between 12:30 pm-4 pm, the Costume Judging Contest, Puppet Show, Live Entertainment, Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest, DJ Dancing, and Trick-Or-Treating will be happening at all Saugatuck & Douglas Businesses! Come dressed in your Halloween costume to downtown Saugatuck at 449 Water Street.

Halloween Forest 10/30 - Kalamazoo

Grab your family, throw on your best costumes, and head to Milham Park for Halloween Forest! This FREE family event features fall-themed games, mascots, a costume contest, pumpkin carving, tarot card readings, and plenty of photo ops! They will also have apple cider and donuts and pumpkin painting kits to take home. This year brings back Pumpkin Racing! The Pumpkin Racing will take place from 2-3 p.m., followed by a magic show from 3-4 p.m. Milham Park is at 607 E. Kilgore Road in Kalamazoo.

Christ Church Cranbrook's Trunk or Treat 10/30 - Bloomfield Hills

Looking for another avenue for kids trick-or-treating, why not come out to Bloomfield Hills to Christ Church Cranbrook’s Trunk or Treat on Saturday. Kids are invited to dress up in their favorite costume and trick-or-treat out of decorated car trunks at the church. There will also be a bounce house! Christ Church Cranbrook is at 470 Church Road.

Douglas Nighttime Halloween Parade for Adults 10/30

For years, our Halloween parade has grown into one of the biggest events of the year, drawing thousands of spectators from all around the country. If you're interested in being more than a spectator, get into the lineup and strut your stuff down the parade route. Our giant parade mascot, The Pumpkin King, rises from the ashes at ten-o-clock to get the whole thing rolling!

Weather: The parade must go on regardless of what the weather brings! We parade in the rain, sleet, snow, or moon-shine, so dress accordingly and get ready to have some fun! If the weather is wet or too windy, the Pumpkin King may have to sit it out, so he doesn't get ruined.

You'll want to leave the kids with the sitter; this party is an adult affair. No sign-up, just come in costume and line-up. Our volunteers will help direct you where to go. It starts at 9:30 p.m. for the Parade Lineup on Center Street (in front of Beery Field in Downtown Douglas). The parade begins at 10 p.m. There is no registration required. Come early to shop around town and grab something to eat and drink. Be Downtown Douglas in time to find parking and lineup to be in the parade or watch from the sidelines.
