OU's freshman class sets new records with class size and first-generation students

Gore, Webbers Falls compete at Weleetka Tournament
WELEETKA — The Gore Lady Pirates and the Webbers Falls Lady Warriors represented the area at last week’s rain-shortened Weleetka Tournament. The Lady Pirates went 1-1 for the first two days of the tournament before Saturday’s action was rained out. Gore edged tournament-host Weleetka 5-4 but lost 6-0 to Porum.
Central Lady Tigers get first win for new coach
New Central Lady Tigers softball coach Victor Pierce won’t go winless in his inaugural campaign. The Lady Tigers edged the Vian Lady Wolverines 5-4 on Friday afternoon in the Muldrow Softball Festival to claim the first win for Pierce as new coach and the first victory of the season for the Lady Tigers (1-3).
New season, new coach for Roland softball team
With the arrival of a new fast-pitch softball season will come a new coach for the Roland Lady Rangers as Alibis Ramos will take over the program for Mason Wiggins. Ramos, who was an assistant coach for Wiggins last fall, will inherit a team that went 9-18 in the fall of 2023.
