ELKTON — A Cecil County Sheriff’s Office sergeant is facing criminal charges for allegedly failing to report to work without proper leave on several days over a one-and-a-half-year period and for “numerous incidents of unauthorized overtime hours,” translating to an overall theft of nearly $10,000, the agency reported Thursday. Man charged in murder of father
CHESTER — A Chester man has been arrested in connection with the murder of his father. The Queen Anne's County Office of the Sheriff's Criminal Investigation Unit arrested Drew Bernard Meyer, 32, of Chester, charging him with first degree murder in the death of his father, Wayne Michael Meyer, 65, also of Chester. According to police reports, on May 17, deputies were dispatched to Auckland Way in Chester, for a report of a cardiac arrest.
