Bennett Wildfire holding within burned area
EDGEMONT, S.D. (KELO) — Fire crews were able to hold the fire within the burned area Friday night. As of Saturday morning, the fire remains at 330 acres in the Black Hills National Forest and is 10% contained, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture/Black Hills. There were 130 fire personnel from South Dakota, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Colorado fighting the blaze. Other agencies and volunteer fire departments have been on-site to assist.
