Shreveport Police Investigating Late-Night Carjacking
Shreveport Police were called to the scene of the Wendy's near the Pines Road Walmart at 11pm Wednesday (7/24/24) to reports of a carjacking. Upon arrival, SPD found the victim of the carjacking. The victim claims he was there to meet a woman he had been messaging on social media. According to the victim, when he arrived to meet the woman at Walmart, she complained of vehicle trouble.

A Grambling man was arrested for aggravated battery after he allegedly attempted to run over a woman last Tuesday. Jesse L. Mayfield, 62, was arrested on numerous charges by Grambling Police after a woman reported to officers that he tried to run over, hit her with a stick, and stole her cellphone.
