CALLING ALL VENDORS: City of Shreveport outlines process for vendors to participate in Humor & Harmony
SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - 50 Cent’s Humor & Harmony weekend is coming to Shreveport Aug. 8-11, and the city wants vendors to be ready. The city says G-Unit will select food trucks from the city’s vendor list; all vendors must meet city requirements and be permitted. G-Unit is also partnering with the Red River Revel to line up vendors at Festival Plaza. The city says banned vendors will not be allowed to set up without first going through the city’s permitting process.
Why Are Car Crashes in Shreveport Up Dramatically?
SHREVEPORT, LA - The latest numbers on problems on our roads is not good. Shreveport is seeing a dramatic spike in car crashes. These wrecks are happening all over the city. Police Chief Wayne Smith says we had just under 5,000 crashes in 2022 and more than 8,000 in 2023. Chief Smith says we are on pace to hit that 8,000 mark again this year. So far during 2024, there have been 4266 wrecks across the city.

SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport Police Department Searches for Robbery Suspect. On July 14, 2024, at approximately 11:55 a.m., officers responded to an armed robbery at 1606 North Market Street. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the complainant, who stated that a black male and black female pulled up to the drive-thru window. The black female opened the door as if she had a weapon and demanded money. The black male ran around the vehicle with a bag, demanding the victim put the money inside.

Bossier mayor says term limits to appear on December ballot
BOSSIER CITY, La. (KSLA) - Bossier City voters will now get to decide if their leaders have term limits. Mayor Tommy Chandler and other city leaders held a news conference at city hall Thursday morning (July 25) to make the announcement. Mayor Chandler announced they are now able to file a petition to get term limits on the Dec. 7 ballot. The mayor says they had to jump over some legal hurdles before filing the petition though.
