Reconfiguration of Plaza Way and West Tietan Street in Walla Walla set for August

Rantz: After crime crisis cost him his insurance, business owner vows to stop paying taxes in protest
A local small business owner is losing his insurance policy after three years of “unfavorable loss” due to claims made after tens of thousands of dollars in damages due to the crime crisis. In protest, he exclusively told “The Jason Rantz Show” on KTTH that he won’t collect taxes for Washington unless he’s able to find an insurance company willing to cover his business.
Update: Air quality alert issued for Oregon
On Wednesday at 6:02 p.m. an updated air quality alert was issued for Crook, Deschutes, Grant, Morrow, Umatilla and Wheeler counties. According to the National Weather Service, "Oregon Department of Environmental Quality has issued an Air Quality Advisory IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. A Smoke Air Quality Advisory has been issued. Wildfires burning in the region combined with forecasted conditions will cause air quality to reach unhealthy levels. Pollutants in smoke can cause burning eyes runny nose aggravate heart and lung diseases and aggravate other serious health problems. Limit outdoor activities and keep children indoors if it is smoky. Please follow medical advice if you have a heart or lung condition."
