Brandy Norwood Wants Halle Bailey To Play Her In A Biopic

Halle Bailey has a job waiting for her if a Brandy Norwood biopic is ever in the works. The seasoned singer and actress sat down for A24 Close-Up: Volume III with Brandy to discuss random fun facts about the star.

Norwood is promoting her latest project , The Front Room , a psychological horror thriller, where she plays a newly pregnant woman who allows her mother-in-law to move in, creating a dynamic where boundaries are crossed , and danger is imminent. The film is distributed by the independent film company A24, who put the famed singer in the hot seat to get up close and personal with her.

After going through a series of questions, including what her weapon of choice would be in an altercation and whether or not she believes in spirits, she was asked who would play the vocal powerhouse in a biopic.

“There’s a few people that come to mind, but off the top of the dome, Halle Bailey,” she says.

Fans flocked to the comment section in support of Norwood’s pick.

“@hallebailey go ahead and practice your moesha and Cinderella lines also that time brandy met Whitney,” one commenter wrote.

“She chose Halle Bailey ,” another fan wrote.

We’d love to see a biopic about the Cinderella actress’s life. From her days on Moesha to the false wedding fiasco that occurred when she was pregnant, Norwood has lived an eventful life and fans want to see it. Who better to bring her story to life than Bailey? The “Halo” crooner has the vocal chops for the role, and they have a few physical similarities that could make this a believable role.
