ROSELLE, NJ - The Roselle Fire Department invites residents to beat the heat this summer at their first annual Community Cooldown Event. The event will take place on August 17 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Roselle Fire Department located at 725 Chestnut Street. It is free to attend. Residents of all ages are welcome. ELIZABETH, NJ - Elizabeth residents are encouraged to attend Elizabethport Presbyterian Center’s Block Party on Friday. The event will take place on Magnolia Avenue between First Street and Second Street from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Block Party features the grand opening of the Elizabethport Library and Museum, live entertainment, and activities for residents of all ages. Free hot dogs will be available for kids and there will be a $5 Fish Fry for adults.
