Jasper coach shot and killed in San Antonio
KJAS Radio News has learned that Ayden Rose Burt, a volleyball and track teacher at Jasper High School has been shot and killed at a bar or club in San Antonio. Complete details are sketchy, but sources are reporting the incident occurred at the Skybar on Crockett Street early Tuesday morning and word is that Burt was not involved in any altercation or incident, but instead setting at a table when the bullet was fired from a passing vehicle.

Civilian employee dubbed ‘Gucci Goddess’ sentenced to 15 years in prison for $100M Army fraud scheme
SAN ANTONIO – A civilian employee accused of stealing more than $100 million from the U.S. Army was sentenced Tuesday to 15 years in federal prison. The sentencing comes four months after Janet Yamanaka Mello, 57, pleaded guilty to 10 charges in the case — five counts of mail fraud and five counts of filing a false tax return, the U.S. Department of Justice said. She was also forced to hand over money and goods she received as a result of the crime.
