Downtown Morgantown property owner wants action, details some damages
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — In Morgantown, downtown property owner Tricia DiCenso is providing first-hand accounts of damage she has suffered and dangers encountered by property owners and visitors. DiCenso, with Red Brick Properties is one of several downtown business owners who have documented damages and have called for action from the city council for at least the last two years.

Former WVU shooter Mary Tucker takes aim at the gold in Paris
CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A National Champion shooter at West Virginia University will make a second attempt at shooting for gold in the upcoming Paris Olympic Games. Mary Tucker, who spent her last two seasons of NCAA Rifle in Morgantown, will shoot the smallbore, air rifle, and mixed team events at the Paris games. It’s Tucker’s second Olympics. She qualified for all three events in Tokyo as well.

West Virginia highlights importance of back-to-school vaccines
For the upcoming school year, all children entering school in West Virginia grades K-12 must show proof of immunization against diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B unless a medical exemption is approved by DH. Additional proof of immunization is required for children entering grades 7 and 12 for diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, and meningococcal disease unless a medical exemption is approved by DH.
