Cheesman Street Residences affordable housing project breaks ground, reservations to begin in December
The Cheesman Street Residences affordable housing project has broken ground with home prices to start at $385,000, half the average price of a home in Erie. Erie and the developer, Vertikal, will make 35 affordable housing units in the northeast corner of Cheesman Street and County Line Road. The development will offer five different housing types ranging from 900-1,500 square feet with 2- and 3-bedroom options. Reservations for the homes will start Dec. 1, with move-ins to begin in 2025.
Young boy struck by vehicle in Firestone Park July 11 has died
The young boy who was struck by a vehicle while riding his bike in Firestone Park on July 11 has died, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office. Kingston Solomon, 7, passed away the next day, July 12, at Akron Children's Hospital at 2:35 p.m. His death was from blunt force trauma to the head and was ruled an accident, Gary Guenther of the medical examiner's office said.

Team Colorado has been a mainstay in the alum-based basketball tournament since its 2nd year (Marcus Hall was dope) and they have retooled under head coach Zach Ruebesam and expanded their umbrella to the Colorado natives that wanted to play as well. This year, the team includes recent fan favorites D’shawn Schwartz and Evan Battey, TBT vet Shannon Sharpe, former CU guard Daylen Kountz and Colorado high school Josh Adams. Homicide victim identified in stabbing on E. Cheyenne Road
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - On Friday, July 12, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) responded to a stabbing near an apartment complex on E. Cheyenne Rd. The suspect who allegedly shot a police officer Sunday in Northern Colorado before being shot and killed by police has been identified.Fort Collins police responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash around 12:40 p.m. near Mountain Avenue and Bryan Avenue.
