Montgomery County Man arrested on Warrant
(Red Oak) Montgomery County Deputies arrested 40-year-old Quintin Perdue of Elliott in the 900 block of Cass Street in Griswold. Authorities took Perdue into custody on an outstanding warrant for a parole violation. Deputies transported him to the Montgomery County Jail and held him on no bond.
Atlantic Police advise City and County residents take alternative routes during RAGBRAI next week
(Atlantic, Iowa) – Riders associated with the largest river-to-river (Missouri-to-Mississippi) bicycle ride in Iowa will be traveling from west to east this coming week, and the Atlantic Police Department suggests residents in the community, and persons from around the area who may have business in town during RAGBRAI® (July 22nd and 23rd), find alternate driving routes. Riders will be entering Cass County throughout the day, Monday, and exiting through at least mid-day on Tuesday.

Brad Williams captured a long-exposure photograph yesterday of the tower crane operating near 14th & Dodge Street. Work proceeded after dark last night on Mutual of Omaha’s future headquarters tower. Located at 14th & Farnam Street, the future 44-story building is scheduled for completion in 2026. The 800,000 sq. ft. building will be 677 feet tall.
